Brighstone is one of the most popular and attractive villages on the Isle of Wight. It is situated on the south west coast, around half a mile from the sea. Brighstone has everything that you would hope for in a village – a church, pub, doctor’s surgery, tea room, grocery shop (including Post Office and newsagents), cafe & bistro, card & gift shop and even a hairdresser! The Brighstone Forest, Downs and coastal footpath are all within walking distance from the cottage and offer spectacular views.

“‘Great location for travelling around the Island. Very clean and comfortable cottage, with everything you would ever need to make it a home from home. Unpack and enjoy your stay. Well-stocked local shop with local farm produce in the village. Well worth a return stay in the future”. Julie (February 2025)
“So pleased we found the Granary. Everything we needed inside and a pleasant garden to sit in. Spotlessly clean and plenty of teabags, milk and coffee there for us although we had brought our own. Teresa, the owner, was very helpful prior to our arrival. Brighstone is a great location. Lovely walk along the brook into the village to the shop and the wonderful Tandem tearooms which are a must. Didn’t try the pub or the bistro – saved those for next time. cottages.com (April 2025)
